Released in 1974 whilst he was still very much a member of The Stones, Monkey Grip was bassist Bill Wyman's first solo album. It was recorded with a star-studded session band featuring Lowell George, Dr John, Leon Russell, Danny Kortchmar, Dallas Taylor to name but a few but the real star was Bill himself, with his songwriting talents unleashed for the first time. This special expanded edition comes with eight bonus tracks, including a quartet of rare single edits, previously unavailable on CD ensuring that the 2005 expanded edition is the definitive version of this album.
